CARAVAGGIO IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
An immersive experience that draws you into the places, atmospheres and shadows of Caravaggio’s life. The journey unfolds as a long flashback: the artist himself guides the narrative through intense memories evoked shortly before his death in 1610.
Four key moments shape the story: his Roman training in the workshop of Cavalier d’Arpino; the turbulent years spent in the taverns and alleys of Rome, such as the Osteria della Lupa; his refuge in the Spanish Quarters of Naples after the killing of Ranuccio Tomassoni; and his arrival in Sicily, in Syracuse, where he painted The Burial of Saint Lucy in the Basilica and Sanctuary of Saint Lucy at the Sepulchre.
Through virtual reality, the viewer enters the places lived in and painted by Caravaggio, walks among light and shadow, and perceives the torment and beauty that marked his work. A powerful visual narrative in which art and life merge into a single, unforgettable experience.
GREEK THEATRE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
In the evocative hall of Palazzo Vermexio, which houses the archaeological remains of the ancient Temple of Artemis, an immersive experience comes to life, blending history, technology and visual suggestion.
Thanks to virtual reality, visitors can witness the reconstruction of the Greek Theatre of Syracuse as it appeared in the time of Aeschylus, with its imposing cavea, the scenic skené and the nymphaeum area. Virtually positioned in the diazoma—the visual and acoustic heart of the building—it is possible to admire the majesty of ancient architecture and glimpse the terrace and nymphaeum set into the surrounding landscape.
The experience culminates in the re-enactment of The Persians by Aeschylus: the spectator becomes an integral part of the performance, breathing in the emotion of an ancient theatrical spectacle through digitally evoked sounds, words and movements.
